OK... I was wrong!

Today ended a 10 year discussion (battle, marriage building opportunity... whatever you want to call it) between Ted and myself. And what was it over you ask? A commercial jingle. Yes... for 10 years we have been discussing this... not consistently but it comes up from time to time.

Well, today at church in the foyer (at our beloved Pelissippi State) the battle ended and I was WRONG. Julie Greene put an end to this battle.

I WAS WRONG!

TED WAS RIGHT!

The commercial jingle is...
The Downy commercial from the 1980's.
It starts...
Hello Mother, Hello Father, greetings from Camp Hiawatha. Swimming's cool here--
AND THIS IS WHERE THE DISCUSSION WOULD BEGIN...
Ted said it went like this (and yes, he is right)
but this place is not like home I miss your nice soft pillowcases. You miss Downy, it's so pleasin', April freshness--that's one reason, Downy softness--that's another. Here's a gift from home we miss you, love your mother
AND THIS WAS MY VERSION... WHICH IS NOT OUT THERE (thanks Brad for thinking maybe there was a second version... but I did a little research today and it was not out there... though I think it would have been the PERFECT jingle if it went this way)
Hello Mother, Hello Father, greetings from Camp Hiawatha. Swimming's cool here-- won three races, but I miss your nice fresh towels and pillowcases. You miss Downy, it's so pleasin', April freshness--that's one reason, Downy softness--that's another. Here's a gift from home we miss you, love your mother

So there you have it. I humble myself right here in BLOG WORLD and admit I WAS WRONG.

HomesChOOL :-) Co-op

We have several families that homeschool at church so we decided to get together to encourage one another! My friends, Robin and Cindy put together a time for us to teach the kids about missionaries, have a devotion, and then have a time where we can encourage and pray for one another. The kids WAY out number us moms! It was a great first meeting. We are going to meet 2 times a month.

Here's Robin :-)

I smell CHEESE!

A few hard core fans came by the house the other night...

Maybe they just wanted to remind Ted that his beloved COWBOYS did not make it to the next round. So the COLTS are out and the COWBOYS... who should we root for?

I am not a cheese head but when a big block of cheese is at your house.. you just have to try it on your head.
You mess with the cheese... you get the dip... WHAT? I don't know ... it's kind of late.

I personally will always have a heart for the Houston Oilers. YES, I KNOW they don't exist anymore but in my heart... they will always be! (LOVE YA BLUE!) Funny that they moved to Tennessee and became the TN Oilers and now are the Titans... NOPE, can't do it... Even though it's my once beloved team... I just can't root for them.

To-Do List...

We have been nesting over here... getting ready for Abel. I knew I wanted to clean out the hall closet. It was something on my "to-do" list. I don't make the lists... I just keep them running in my mind. I should just write them down. But here was a sweet reminder about the closet...

I got Addie out of there... and then cleaned it out while I was there

Long time...No post

Well... just 11 days since my last post but so not like me. I have posted a few times on our adoption blog.
So what's been going on in this new year. Well... it seems we are having some malfunctions with our electrical systems... aka... OUR COMPUTERS. Our computers down stairs is gone... well, almost. Ted is going to try to recover our hard drive. My lap top is having battery issues.
BUT OTHER THAN THAT... we've been recovering from travel (see below), getting back into the routine of homeschooling, nesting (getting ready for baby Abel), we started co-op back today... so I've been doing lesson plans (teaching 4 classes again this semester). Ted is back to hitting the books (he's in seminary... almost finished with his first semester).

Well... I just ate half a role of rolos and drank coke and that's not a good combination. So... that's all for now. I'm sure I will have a much better blog entry soon.
