Worship by the Water

This past Saturday a group of women from Fellowship Bible gathered by the lake for Worship by the Water. It was such a sweet time. We listened to music... journaled... and then listened to Carol Glasgow give a sweet, encouraging message. Then we shared with a person next to us. I sat with Debbye and we had a great time sharing what the Lord laid on our hearts. It was a quiet morning at the Cove park and it was so peaceful. We met at 8am so all was calm out by the lake.

Our Time with the Wellborns

The last few nights in Texas we stayed at Ty and Carri's house. They are dear friends of ours. We spent Friday and Saturday there and then left in the wee hours of Sunday morning. We got to go to Costco while we were there. The Wellborns are regulars there. It's like Sams but a little nicer. Courtlyn (their oldest) and Avery went to the wedding with us on Friday night. On Saturday we went swimming at a neighbors house and then got to eat at JASON'S DELI - YUMMY! Carri and I did a little shopping at a store called Dots and then we headed home and visited a little bit before getting the crew in bed for a LONG drive home. Ty and Carri have 4 beautiful children. Thanks Wellborns for having us in your home. We love you guys!

Mr. and Mrs. Hersson Herrera

Amy and Hersson are HUSBAND AND WIFE. The wedding was on Friday, June 8th. They got married at The Village church and had the reception at a place called Celebration. It was a huge REUNION for us. We have not lived in Texas for almost 4 years and we haven't seen a lot of these people in that long. It was so much fun! The wedding went SO WELL... it was absolutely beautiful. Ted did the wedding and I thought he did a wonderful job (yes, I am his biggest fan!). Avery came with us to the wedding ... Addie and Aidan stayed at the Wellborns (thanks Ty and Carri). Courtlyn Wellborn came with us and her and Avery had a blast! What a fun night!

Rehearsal Dinner

We went to Texas for Amy and Hersson's wedding. Ted was the pastor that married the
two of them. We went to Babe's Chicken for the dinner.... WOW... GOOD FOOD!
Then after the dinner we gathered at Amy's apartment to all encourage the Bride and Groom. It was such a fun night. Addie and Aidan went with us. Avery stayed with Courtlyn Wellborn. Addie and Aidan had a blast. Of course they got lots of attention (which they love :-) We do too!). It was like a reunion for us because all these students were in Student Ministry at Irving Bible when Ted was on staff there. It was so fun to see them with our kids.

Exercising Courage

When we were at the Burks we went to this Amazing pool at their workout place. It has this huge water slide and Avery I knew would love it if she would just try it. We had many small talks and coaching sessions. She just got into these stuffed animals (collecting them) called Webkinz. So I told her I would get her a new one if she did it (a $10 value). I knew she would love it if she did it. She was practicing her swimming moves first and then said... OK Mom... I'll do it. She did it and then she did it again and again and again.

We made it to TX!

Our first three nights we stayed at the Burks when we got to Texas. We had such a great time. We got to spend lots of time outside (at the NEATEST pool!). Deanna and I stayed up late (EVERY NIGHT). It was such an enjoyable time. Thank you Burks for hosting us! Thanks for also helping us with our kiddos while we did wedding stuff. We have been friends with the Burks for 8 years. We knew them before kids. They have 3 children (Ryan 6, Holly 4, and Maddie Grace will be 2 in Sept).

FISHING WITH THE TUCKERS

On our way to Texas, we stopped in Little Rock. We stayed with Betsy's mom and dad,
Sheila and Everett Tucker. They live in a
beautiful house right near a pond. They have a beautiful view from their back yard. We saw an incredible sunset. We went swimming in their swimming pool and then after dinner finished up our night fishing. Avery and I both caught a fish. It was SO MUCH FUN! Thank you so much for a wonderful time!

THE POOL IS SO COOL!

Thanks to Kristin Livesay we are getting to enjoy the Getty's View Pool some this summer. Kristin is a life

guard at the pool and when she is working, she can have guests. SO... we went to the pool two days last week. I love going there. It is a GREAT pool!!! Several of the college girls I do Bible study with also go... so every time I have gone someone has been there and they love to play with the kids... so a perk for me! THANK YOU KRISTIN!

Dinner with the O'Reillys

Tonight we had dinner with Shaun and Kydra O'Reilly. We have known them for about 9 years or so... is that right? Sounds so long!!! Well, they were driving through Knoxville on their way back to Dallas from Myrtle Beach and stopped to have dinner with us! It was so good to see them.
When we met Shaun and Kyndra, he was a senior in high school and she was a Jr. Ted and I were youth volunteers at the time at Irving Bible Church. I was 23 and Ted was 26. We had many great times with them. They were in Common Ground (the college ministry that we started and led as lay leaders) at Irving Bible (back in the day). They were there in our apartment in Euless when we realized we needed to buy a house (because we had students over and were way too loud :-) We've gone to Israel together. We were at the Passion Conference together in 1999. I remember TIP with Shaun ... remember that Shaun? (Tenacious Intercessory Prayer :-) They came to meet Avery in the hospital when I had her. I remember when Kyndra had a crush on Shaun AND when they went to prom together! I videoed the whole getting ready process. Remember your make up that you weren't too happy with Kyndra? (all of these events are out of order... I just typed them as they came to mind).

They have now been married for 4 years (right?). Shaun is on staff at Irving Bible Church in the children's ministry. Kyndra is about to be an OT (after some internships and a little more school). They represent such a sweet time in our lives. THANKS SHAUN AND KYNDRA for having dinner with us!!!

PS - Shaun.. I beat you!
