RED T-SHIRT DAY (at the retreat)

This is the first year (out of 5 Women's Retreats) that we've had t-shirts. I should have taken a picture of the back of them. We took a huge group picture and I will post it once I get it. My goal was to get my picture taken with EVERYONE... but it didn't happen. I did get lots though... SO LOTS OF PICTURES HERE :-)

My BUDDY! Becky Mazon! I totally DIG HER!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AVERY!

I took a break from the retreat to have lunch and spend time with my precious family to celebrate YEAR 7 of AVERY'S LIFE!

Here are 7 things We absolutely love about Avery (by Mom and Dad)
1. We love her creativity. She has a great imagination.
2. Avery is the best cuddler you will ever meet! She can snuggle up!!!
3. Avery is an incredible big sister. She daily cares for her brother and sister! She amazes us!
4. Avery prays the most precious prayers. There is not a night that goes by that she doesn't pray for an uncle of hers. She is a little prayer warrior.
5. Avery is loyal!
6. Avery is as pretty inside as she is out!
7. Avery is generous! We ran out of candy on Halloween and she started giving candy from her treat bag to the kids that came by late that night. She lives with a generous heart... always giving things away!

Retreat Fun...

Daisy Duke is pregnant....

Ladies and Gentlemen... Do not try this at home. Kelsy has been training for this... She is simply amazing. She can put fire out with her bare spit licked fingers.

Do you ever feel like your hair just won't do a thing? Ever had one of these kind of days... Miracles do still happen!!!

Robin's after shot... who was her hair stylist you ask? Oh, It was ME! :-)

Is that a black bear chasing me? Good thing I had my whistle! Thanks Debbye!!!

Run Shawna Run... There is a black bear chasing you! Jump into the covered pool that is behind you! Where is your whistle... didn't you read the paper in the cabins that says "Do not run from the bear"?

Playing the good old cup game!

Wonder if Robin's a little upset because I SMOKED HER at Frogger? What's the matter Robin? Jealous???

We had a video game in our room. I beat Robin and that's all that matters :-)

Who's a water snob? I'm not at all but there are some out there!!! So we were acting the part and pointing to Patty's Jankie water! (jankie is an Emile term for "gross"). The funny thing is I am the one who brought the "jankie" water :-) I am just drinking someone else's AQUAFINA which is clearly the "purest" water there is (so I've heard).

An East Tennessee Taste of Fall

Just went to a retreat in the Mountains and I had to share some of the LANDSCAPE photographs! Our retreat was themed "Wide Open Spaces of God" and the speaker Beth Booram used different Landscapes to teach us about where God has us both now and where we've been. Just thought I'd share some of my favorite landscape pictures from the Smokey Mountains!

Fall Festival - LOTS OF PICTURES

We had a Fall Festival in our driveway for Halloween. Put on by none other than our youth group! We had games, A COTTON CANDY MACHINE, a popcorn machine, and TONS OF CANDY.
Ted and I dressed as HIGH SCHOOL SWEET HEARTS! awwwww... (it's the only costumes we could come up with and we did it last year too...hmm... wonder what we'll do next year... we are so original).
It was neat because we don't really know a lot of our neighbors. They were so appreciative of us having this gathering. It was good to meet our them. Some friends came from church as well. It went well and we had a great time!
I took our kids to a few houses to trick or treat but they were wanting to come back home because the party was happening at our house.
My favorite costume was Weston Beebe's X-Box costume ... SO CREATIVE.
My favorite quote from the night "It's not always good to bob for apples during Cold/Flu season!" haha.

Aidan and Addison both has costume changes during the party. I just looked over and they were in another costume.

OH... and putting cotton candy on that stick thingy isn't as easy as it looks.
